Sorry I have been so slack in keeping up with blog posts! Life has been pretty busy, not to mention the unwanted arrival of finals. I am so thankful for the money that has been donated for the trip, and I also pray for more because the sum has not yet reached $3000. The mission trip team has been doing some fundraisers that have turned out really well. Tonight we have a fundraiser at Casa Mia (not to mention the tapas are BOGO!) and I hope alot of people come out to show their support. Passport status....still waiting on it. I could have it expedited but paying another $75 makes me cringe....but I may have to expedite it anyways. I can't believe I am 21 years old and don't already have a passport!

Recently, I have been reminded of God's promise of faithfulness He made to us.
The Lord is faithful-->Deuteronomy 7:9 . The way I think of it, times may be hard but hold on...like your hanging from the monkey bars and your grip is slipping...because He will pull you back up. Its a promise, and a very good one.

BUSY busy week! Test, lab final, lab practical, work, Younglife, meeting for the trip (yay), and must get vaccines! I went to get my passport last week and I hope it doesn't take forever because I need it to get my visa. I need to come up with some fundraising ideas for the trip...maybe I could make/bake something to sell? Hmm...its a work in progress.

Athens update- beautiful, warm, and sunny!

I FINALLY sent out support letters today. I pray that funds will arrive even though it is a hard economic time for everyone. The trip is finally seeming real....but I don't think I'll believe it until I step off the plane into Africa. I'm meeting up the girls on my Younglife team tonight at a coffee shop named Two Story. Its amazing! They have some french way of brewing a single cup of coffee right in front of you and its the freshest cup of coffee you will ever drink. I can't wait to spend some time with the girls, especially the new ones on the team.

I just made my very first blog and was even able to include a PayPal link at the bottom of the page for donations. Beautiful and sunny here in Athens, what an amazing day. A kid next to me has this on the back of his sweatshirt from John: "We love because He first loved us". This is so important to remember.
